200 Club 2024
	We currently have 57 members, which is sadly a large decrease from last year when we had 77! This is partly due to members passing away, but it is mainly due to people making a one-off payment last year. Please do consider renewing your membership for this year too or, better still, set up a standing order going forward.
Many thanks to Pam Rumney for designing and distributing our on-line form. We have a total of £1546.98 in the bank. This will be £1,181.98 after the distribution of prizes in June 2024. The reason for the small amounts we currently have at our disposal is due to a donation of £3,000 to the school library, which is now open, and £500 to the school’s Eco-club. Have you thought about joining the OSB ‘200 Club’ Prize Draw? If not, please do because… By taking part it gives you the chance of winning a top Prize of £200 and also helps the school and the Society. All money raised goes towards supporting the school and the St Beghian Society. Over the years a variety of projects and clubs have benefited within the school by the purchase of such things as canoes and a canoe trailer, a donation to the Car Kit Club, assistance with sports kit and sports tours, and also the development of the ecology pond. This year, the 200 Club has donated £500 to the school Eco Club and £3,000 to the library refurbishment and reopening. These contributions were very much appreciated by both the school and the students, who greatly benefit from these activities and facilities. For just £2 a month or £24 a year you are entered into one draw a year, and the more members we have, the bigger and more prizes there are. Remember, it is possible to have more than one number in the draw – and hence potentially to win more than one prize! For information, last June’s winners are posted above. We do hope that you will consider joining in with this fun, but also very worthwhile, 200 Club draw. Why not buy a ticket for a family member or for friends – it could be a ‘different’ and lucrative Birthday/Christmas Present or Gift for someone? Thank you to all of you who are already members, your support is very much appreciated. And we very much look forward to welcoming many more new OSBs to the draw soon.
